Beaches Turks & Caicos

Penny,
Thank you so much for helping us to plan the wonderful family vacation
we had. We could not have asked for better weather! We had a great time
together as a family and the kids programs were excellent when we needed
a break to go to dinner by ourselves or scuba diving. Thank you also for
the nice gifts you had sent to our room.

Hi Penny,
We're actually home now....we had a wonderful time. Beaches was
terrific!
Snorkeling was amazing....we went into town on Monday and bought
snorkeling gear...went 2 or 3 times a day off the reef at Bight's Reef.
It cost us $80 pp for a complete outfit of mask, snorkel and fins....if
people are traveling there, you might want to tell them to bring their
own snorkeling gear....you could only take out the resort gear for 2
hours at a time. We also went out on a conch and sand dollar snorkeling
trip....additional cost but definitely worth it. We came home with 3
gorgeous conch shells and about 20 sand dollars...beautiful. We saw a
nurse shark, a barracuda, a sea turtle and so many other great looking
and colorful creatures.
Food was great.....we thought that Schooners was the best
restaurant...especially when we were tired of the buffet. Breakfast at
Schooner's was awesome. Kimono's was great too...we did that our last
night.
Thank goodness you told us to bring all carry-ons....first because AA
computers crashed on Sunday and no one got their luggage until
Wednesday...when they got it, it was soaked since they left it on the
tarmac in Miami overnight in a thunderstorm. The other reason that all
carry on was great was that if we had to retrieve our checked baggage
prior to customs, we would have missed our return flight to Newark. We
just made it (2 hours in Miami for all passports and customs!) We were
also the first ones out to Beaches upon arrival while everyone else
waited for their luggage!
Your tips on what to bring were right on target....we went from bathing
suits and cover-ups to dinner attire.
The photo service was great...they took tons of pictures and then you
got to select your portfolio...not terribly expensive either.
Again, it was a great time...we have wonderful memories of a beautiful
part of the world. Thanks so much for your service and your tips. I've
already recommended you to some of my friends considering Beaches!
Thanks again for everything.

Hi Penny,
Just got back from Beaches Turks and had a wonderful time relaxing. Even
Ethan our 4 month old had a blast! We are even thinking of celebrating
Ethans first birthday at Beaches Negril.

Thanks a bunch,

Hi Penny -
We just wanted to say thank you for making all the travel arrangements
for our wedding in Turks & Caicos at the Beaches resort. Everyone made
the trip without any difficulty. The water displays every imaginable hue
and is the most beautiful we have ever seen. No wonder the islands are
rated so high by so many travel experts.
Once at the resort we were checked in at the French village since we
received an upgrade. The check in was very painless and quite efficient.
We were greeted with a rum drink and escorted to our room. Our room was
very nicely appointed and had a nice view of the pool and swim up bar
from the French doors. The amphitheater was in the French village and
the entertainment was very good. We saw the "top" recording artist in
the Bahamas there sing his hit song "Drunk again". The resort was huge,
but very easy to navigate once we got our bearings. As anyone who has
been to a Sandals property knows, the walking is great after all the
overindulgences. We met with the wedding planner shortly after arriving
and within 1 hour all the arrangements were taken care of.
When they say there is 12 plus miles of beautiful white sand, that is
not an exaggeration. There is the most beautiful white sand beach for as
far as you can see in either direction and the only thing that is more
beautiful is the various hues of the water. We have never seen anything
like it and it is doubtful that we will. Having been to the Bahamas,
Jamaica and Mexico we have seen beautiful water, but the water at Turks
& Caicos is in a different league. The great thing about Turks is that
you walk in any direction for as far as you want without anyone
bothering you. You feel perfectly safe and at ease going anywhere you
want. On our first walk down the beach Karen was able to snap a photo of
a southern stingray within 2 ft of shore. The picture came out great as
the water is as clear as a swimming pool.
We found the resort's restaurants to be very nice and the food delicious
(as expected). There are so many restaurants that you have a hard time
hitting them all.

We only went snorkeling off the resorts boat once - the
main reason is that it was very hard given the number of people there to
get a reservation for the snorkeling. But, a short walk down the beach
there is a coral reef recovery park. The area is roped off and they
request you do not go inside it, but the snorkeling around the area is
great. We saw a sea turtle up close and all the same varieties of fish
that we saw off the boat. We had our own snorkeling gear, but the resort
will let people sign out theirs for 2 hours. My recommendation is to
take your own and go snorkeling whenever you want. On the walk to the
coral reef park, we almost always saw several southern sting rays right
off shore. It was nothing to have them swim right by you when you were
swimming right in front of the resort.

At any rate, a return trip is an absolute for us!

Hi Penny,

As a returning guest to the Beaches Turks & Caicos resort, it was just
as relaxing and fun as the first time we went last year. This year we
brought both our girls, now 2 1/2 years and 18 months old.
In the mornings we hung out at the Riviera Pool which
the girls loved. At that pool, there's a section designated for babies
and toddlers. In addition, my husband and I love the swim-up pool bar...
with their strawberries & bananas daiquiris!
In the afternoon we hung out at the beach. The beach is absolutely
gorgeous. Very fine, clean white sand and the water is crystal clear
blue. We always stay at the beach area until the sunset and watching the
sun go down was breathtaking.

The food was delicious. The kids love to go to Bobby D's
where they have kids' food, such as pasta, pbj sandwiches, chicken
nuggets, french fries, ice cream, cookies, etc. As for dinner,
Reflections was good with daily themes. Our favorite was the Seafood
theme - lots of Alaskan king crab legs and grilled lobster. For more
seafood, we went to Schooners where you could order surf & turf or more
king crab legs. Their calamari for appetizers must not be missed.
Overall, there were so many varieties of food that you couldn't try them
all and the desserts were just so overwhelmingly tasty!

After dinner we enjoyed the live band and the children were dancing
freely on the stage. This was our girls favorite... they loved the
music and they loved to dance. While the girls were dancing, I would
sneak away to the Cafe de Paris . It's a charming small cafe with lots
of delicious French pastries, coffees, and baguettes.
One thing that must not be missed is the flee market
that they have only once a week. They have lots of t-shirts and many
homemade items. You can bargain some good prices.
It was so relaxing and very stress free. Our girls loved every minute of
it. The staff were wonderful. Everyone was so nice and each one of them
went out of their way to make sure we were having a great time. Very
children friendly . We absolutely enjoyed it!

We recommended my husband's brother and their family, my
sister and her family, and our good friends and their children, who
joined us on this trip. This just goes to show how much we loved the
place!
