Beaches Negril
Negril, Jamaica

July 15, 2008

Hi!
Sorry it took so long to get back to you. We have been gone most of June and had family up and finally got time to write you. We had a wonderful time in Jamaica! We would do it again in a heartbeat. The people are very friendly and Beaches Negril was very fun. We had no problems with anything and they even upgraded our room for free when we got there. Thanks for booking the best vacation.

Thanks,

Hey Penny!

The trip was great, from the seating arrangements on the plane to the transfer of getting there by our maniac transfer driver who would of been thrown away in jail in the states with his swerving, speeding and cutting around traffic flying through oncoming cars (Quite exciting I must say- others may have a slightly different opinion) . Once again thanks for the room upgrade it was spectacular. I also thank the manager Howard Spittle and told him we we were clients of yours.

The resort is beautiful and the wedding was blissful. Organizing the wedding could not have been any easier at the resort with the staff there. It was a relaxing stress-free time which caught me off guard. I surely thought some type of chaotic event was bound to happen. The staff was able to get the music we wanted and supply the flowers we needed with no hassel and our butler at the reception catered to our every need. The photographer there also took great pictures of us which I was pretty impressed with which says a lot because I'm a graphic designer myself.

As for the rest of our stay there Cyrus really enjoyed the Sesame street shows and he also had fun at the daycare which kept him quite busy around the resort. I also was dub as Reggae dancehall king at a competition which won me a bottle of rum there. So overall we had a great time and did not want to come home. However Jess and I did not have a enough private time together because of of our friends and family being there so we are looking to do a three night getaway sometime in June or July at the Sandals Bahamian. We have to work out time off and sweet talk the grandparents on babysitting and then will get back to you.

Once again thanks

Yours truly,

Hi Penny!

Our vacation was awesome - more than I expected. From the time we boarded the plane at JFK there was mimosas and champagne and the air was wonderful as we stepped out into the Jamaica sun. The bus ride took about an hour but it wasn't that bad. Upon arrival at the hotel we knew it was going to be great. The help and the native people were sooooooo nice. Always a smile or a greeting. I got used to saying, "Yah Mon", and, "No problem, Mon", very soon.

We headed right to the beach and the water was so warm, clear, turquoise and practically no waves. The colors were unbelievable. The kids were astonished at the sight as well as I. There was a gigantic trampoline out in the water for people to jump on. The water sports were amazing. We all went on a snorkeling trip, on a glass bottom boat ride with more snorkeling, sailing on a medium size boat, parasailing (extra $ but worth it), banana boat riding, paddle water bikes, and anything else we could get our hands on.

Breakfast everyday was a large buffet with American and local favorites, lots of fresh fruit, hot and cold cereals, all kinds of freshly squeezed juices, pastries, and omelets any way you want them cooked right in front of you. For lunch we hopped over to the snack bar for pizza, burgers, and pasta anyway you like it. Dinner was either the buffet, a Tex-Mex place, a Japanese place (including crazy Jamaican-Japanese chef), or an adults only white glove a la carte restaurant. Very classy.  There was also an open really late snack bar. All food was very good. Onto the drinks.... I think I tried every frozen concoction known to man. They were so tasty, fruity, tangy, and sweet.

The entertainment was pretty corny but very nice. They had a great clown/contortionist act that blew me away. A reggae band played almost every night. A beach party one night (all the food, etc. right on the beach) with games, limbo, lots of rum punch and dancing. A lot of laughs.

My daughter and I both met a lovely Jamaican lady who did hair braids and gave massages. It was off the property down the beach a bit. We walked together and she shared some parts of her life with us. There were a few other ladies with her under the shade of a grape tree, and we chatted, ate mango, got our hair braided and got a brief massage. We got stuck in a torrential downpour and she walked us back to the hotel holding an umbrella over our heads. From that moment on we called each other mama which I later found out was a term of endearment. It was a wonderful experience. I never felt unsafe at any time of our vacation.

I loved the fact that everything was included in the one price. We didn't have to think except to decide were and when to eat. A no brain vacation (including tax, tips, etc.) until it came time to leave. I practically cried when I had to say goodbye to the ocean, the color, the sounds, the great feeling that will dwell within me for a long time. I plan on visiting again someday and will look for an all inclusive place. The vacation of my dreams is now behind me... but I look forward to the future, hopefully next year...

So, do you think I enjoyed it?! :)

Thanks,

Hi Penny,

Just wanted to tell you what a great time we had. Weather was perfect, and the staff at Beaches should be congratulated at the way they treat their guests. They made sure that the kids had a great time trying to get them to participate in everything they did. They even put them in the resorts fashion show. This picture was taken in front of their Japanese Restaurant. John and I also had a great time, and look forward now to planning our next vacation with you. ADULTS ONLY..So if you have any good ideas that would be great. Thanks again
